Pad Gra-Pao, 13AUD
Went shopping at Chadstone Shopping Mall aka the largest shopping mall in Melbourne. After which, we drove to Caufield and had early dinner at Preaw - Pak Thai Restaurant & Take Away opposite Monash University.
We weren't sure what to eat that night so we decided to try a random Thai restaurant. Preaw - Pak Thai Restaurant is not appaling, but barely decent.
Pad Gra-Pao is minced meat cooked with cut out green beans, basil, fresh chili and garlic. Australia's chilli is never spicy. I think this dish a nice everyday meal but for 13AUD... I could've gotten this dish at 6-8AUD easily elsewhere.
Pad Thai With Chicken, 11AUD
The Pad Thai is overly slimy and we expected the authentic pretty dried ones. *sad face*
Salmon Pad Thai, 16AUD
5AUD extra bucks for an additional small piece of salmon. WHAT?!
Crispy Chicken Skin, 5AUD
Ain't worth the money.. really. 5AUD definitely deserve a bigger portion.
Seafood Tom Yum, 8AUD
The clear seafood Tom Yum soup was pretty good. Unlike other sour tom yum, this one is a little bit sweet and I have no idea why. There's mushrooms, calamari and prawns. I know I'm pretty demanding and wished there could've been mussels in it.
Pork Salad, 12AUD
Not the best pork parts, but the flavour from the red onions, carrots, spring onions and sauce itself really soaks into the pork meat. I kind of... liked it.
Yan, Rachel and I right outside Preaw - Pak Thai Restaurant opposite Monash campus.
If you're wondering why was it so bright on dinner time? Its almost summer and the sun has been setting at approximately 8pm for the past few weeks. I guess Preaw - Pak Thai Restaurant would be one of the choices where all the Monash students would go. I don't think I will ever go back to Preaw - Pak Thai Restaurant. But its a nice area to be around and away from the city.
